My dad has been a deacon in his Baptist church in Texas for the last thirty two years. He is well versed in the Bible, and is well read when it comes to various Christian books. His Christian books collection rivals that of any other believer. Not only has he devoted over half of his life to the church, but he also has taken the time over the years to study God books. His Christian books talk more about New Testament beliefs and ways of being, but since he has read hundreds of other God books, he is a more well rounded teacher when it comes his time to speak in church. Because of his knowledge of Christian books and God books, his religious books collection number in the hundreds. He has religious books from every denomination of Christianity; he also has religious books from other religions. Buddhism and Taoism are two of his favorite religious books. Some other religious books he owns are based on ancient Chinese religions. Some of his God books talk about God as a collective whole, and not in any way how the Christians or Muslims view God. I think it is a good thing to have Christian books, based on Christianity, God books that talk about God as a higher power, and also about the law of attraction and other new age myths, and also to have and to read religious books. I think that it makes someone informed from all angles and facets.
